Fast For a Day is an international campaign to spread awareness of Ramadhan, what it is and why almost 2 billion people across the world fast from dusk till sunset for a whole month every year.
During Ramadan, Muslims observe a sacred month of fasting, reflection, and heightened spirituality. From dawn to sunset, individuals abstain from food, drink, smoking, and intimate relations as an act of self-discipline, empathy for the less fortunate, and a means of purifying the soul.
